David Yoshida has spent 15 years turning business disputes, trust & estate battles, and real estate conflicts into victories, earning loyalty from clients for his straightforward and strategic style. He is also one of the few equine & animal law experts in the state, having handled numerous disputes involving elite sport horses and canines.
He believes that attorneys should solve problems, not extend them. His approach to litigation strips away unnecessary billable hours in favor of direct and aggressive action. Although he is always prepared for trial at the state and federal level, he will seek to resolve problems before they drain needless resources and time.
Before founding his firm, David spent 3 years as a business executive that led innovation and growth at Razorfish, an elite digital marketing agency for global brands. He also owned a bespoke event production company, Artist Mafia, that brought major EDM and hip-hop artists to Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
He honed his litigation skills at prestigious law firms, most recently at the century-old Lagerlof LLP where he managed their toughest cases and largest litigation clients. He began his career at one of California’s premier complex litigation firms, Bartko Pavia (formerly Bartko Zankel), where he worked on bet-the-company litigation.
David is proud to be a native Angeleno with Korean and Japanese roots. Beyond the office, he recharges through LA trail runs with his furry poodle, culinary adventures with his wife, and staying ahead of developments in AI and blockchain technology. He also creates short-form video content as “Yoshi Legal” on social media platforms to make the law more approachable for everyone.
He earned his law degree from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and his English Literature degree from CSU Los Angeles. He spent a semester abroad studying international business law at Bucerius University, Germany’s top-ranked law school. He was selected as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 5 years in a row and served many years as a director for the Asian American Bar Association and the Japanese American Bar Association.
